You can add regular season games to a grade's fixture at any point. The game will be considered part of the regular season and will count toward ladder calculation and other statistics. This article covers the process and elements of adding a regular season game to a fixture.
Adding a game to a fixture
- Navigate to the Grade's regular season fixture that you would like to add a game to.
- When viewing the regular season fixture, click on the "Add a Game" button (this is described in the Viewing a grade's regular season fixture article).
- You'll arrive on the Create new game page. Use the screenshot and table below to understand the elements of the page:
||Select the home team for your new game from the list of teams that are currently allocated to the grade.|
||Team swap||Select the team swap button to switch the home and away teams for the game.|
||Select the away team for your new game from the list of teams that are currently allocated to the grade.
||Select a round from those that were created when you generated your fixture.|
||Enter an optional game alias if you would like an alternative name to display in the fixture.
||Select a venue from the full list of venues in the system. This is the venue that this game will be played at.
||Selecting a venue enables the court field. Select a court from the list of courts available at the selected venue. This is the court that this game will be played at.
||Enter the date of the new game. The selected date can fall on an exception date, however, you will be reminded on the form when you select one.
||Start time, End time
||Enter a start time for the new game. The game's end time will automatically populate based on the total game duration that is set for the grade in the grade's settings.
Note that the minutes in the start time can only be entered in 5-minute increments (e.g. you cannot set the start time to 5:43 but either 5:40 or 5:45 is valid).
Once the required fields have been entered in the new game, the Add game button will become available in the upper right corner. Selecting it will display the game in the round that was chosen within the fixture.
