Download electronic scoring to a device

This article describes how to download the electronic scoring application to various devices (PC, Mac, iPad, and Android) so that it can run in its own application window.

Downloading and creating a desktop shortcut allows the PlayHQ electronic scoring application to be run in a standard application window instead of running in a web browser window. This for example prevents scorers from accidentally closing the web browser during a game, or removing the electronic scoring application's URL. It also allows the scoring application to run full screen which provides extra screen space for each team's lineup for example.

Some devices also allow an administrator to "lock" the entire device and prevent a scorer from closing the application window and/or navigating elsewhere on the device. Capability and instructions differ by the device - For example, Guided Access - iPad
